“We have the previous version of the Sharp 30" Built-in Microwave Drawer unit Model KB6025MS. Will this newer unit Model #SMD3070ASY fit under the counter? It looks like this unit is a little taller, 15 7/8 Inch versus 15 13/32 Inch.”

After removing the 4 screws the microwave slid out very easy. the new one slid right in with no problems. It fit just as good as the previous one. I was told by a repair man as long as it was a 30" there would be no problem replacing it.

For it to fit in your current space adjustments should be made to your cabinet. You may use the dimensions mentioned in the installation manual to make the conversion.
