Q: QuestionWhat is the purpose of this flush mount kit if I already own the 30 drawer microwave
Asked by otobepelagic.
- A:Answer It protects the cabinet the unit is installed in from the steam which is produced during normal use. Should have been included and not an add on in my opinion.

Q: QuestionI bought the kit Model:RK56S30 to install with my SMC2242DS. The inside height is more than the height of the microwave 13.8 inches.Do I need this flush mount kit in order to completely enclose the oven? With the kit installed, there is a gap at the top.
Asked by EliSJ.
- A:Answer I did not snap the outer frame into the inner frame as I saw that there was a gap between the top of the oven and the inner top edge of the outer frame. Once snapped in, I found it was quite difficult to snap back in if I do not exert a lot of force. I measured the inner height and found it larger than the height of the oven. Hence it will not flush in nicely.
