“Can you connect a phone and play a movie through it? I know that samsung has an app where you can connect your phone to the tv and play a movie from your phone onto the screen, is that possible with this tv?”

• If you have "mirroring" on your cell phone then you can watch movies & play your downloaded sell phone games on this TV! It's really a nice feature.

• The TV supports mirroring but haven't used it since I have an Apple TV for that purpose. You could try with an Android phone or tablet.

• You can but you will have to get an HDMI cord that connects to your specific phone
