How do I hook up surround sound system to the TV null

We hooked up ours using ARC1 (HDMI 1 port) on back of TV. On the soundbar there should be an HDMI to TV connection. Additional a soundbar may have a specific setting to send a signal to the TV to auto recognize the device, consult your user manual of the soundbar or search online references. We did have some difficulty but it was because of the soundbar itself. We used the soundbar remote to setup the ARC feature and everything connected. The TV will auto recognize a soundbar on ARC1 and can been seen in the TV setup menu.

Use a digital optical cable that you can get for about $15 depending on the length. I did and it works great!
