“Optical Audio Output I have seen many posts and reviews all across the internet about how the optical output on this TV ONLY works on one HDMI input, so you can not use a sound bar or receiver unless you only use one HDMI input. Has this been fixed yet or is sharp going to ignore their customers and brush this under the carpet?”

Thank you for your question regarding the LC-70LE600U. AQUOS televisions will not pass digital audio from an HDMI connected device through to the digital optical port. The television does not have a digital audio decoder to process the audio. If your audio receiver supports HDMI(ARC) we recommend connecting the system to the televisions HDMI 1 port. Another option would be connecting your external devices directly to the audio receiver and bypass the televisions audio. This connection allows you to receive advanced audio formats such as Dolby Digital.
