the tv is large and beautiful to look at. Also the image, when it did not move was lovely, however, when there was movement, the image would break up, lose detail, and stutter. Also, there was flashlighting in the images. Sharp sent a repairman who replaced the main board. Tv seemed improved for 24 hours and then 1/5 of the screen just became scrambled. Return the tv.

Considering the price I paid for this TV, it has been a great entry to the oversize screen market. Naturally you lose some of the crispness of the picture with a screen this big, but for the average person it really won't be that big of a difference. I notice it a little, but none of my friends or family say they can see a difference.
Make sure you play around with all of the settings though! The first blu-ray I watched on the screen with the factory settings looked terrible because of its attempt to make the picture look better... it kind of made the movie look like the cheap re-enactments on documentaries on the History channel, but after changing the settings to my preference the quality is back to my liking and I've been a happy customer since. Sports look great (can't wait to host my superbowl party), games look good on both Xbox and PS3, and regular TV viewing is all looking good.
The number of HDMI inputs could be a little higher, but I ended up having the exact number I needed... I just hope I don't pick up any extra devices that use an HDMI connection.

Great TV for the price. Bluray movies look AMAZING & we joke that people are shown "actual size". I do not feel like this is any where near the quality of the Sony Bravia that it replaced but we were looking for size to fill out a large room and this fit that bill. My biggest complaint is that this TV is not compatible with our wireless Samsung sound bar. I drove myself batty trying to set it up until I finally called Sharp. Per Sharp this TV does not support a digital signal & HDMI at the same time. Ended up having to connect each item individually to my sound bar. Also the TV remote is complete junk and hardly ever works. My husband complains about the refresh rate of 120 vs. the 240 on our Bravia. This TV is about size and if that is what you want you found it.

This TV can't be beat if you're looking for a BIG HD without useless extras. I didn't want 3D, because I can't stand the glasses. I don't need a smart TV, because other components (blu-ray player, Apple TV) already do those smart functions and more. It is very light, and was easy to wall mount. I did need my wife's help to lift it onto the mount, just because it was so wide that my arms couldn't reach out to both sides very well. The picture is great, and every format comes thru looking very good. The TV has a default auto contrast function to change with the brightness in the room. Some people might like this, but I found it distracting and turned it off.

Bought this TV for a large kitchen/great-room area for general viewing, movies and sports events. Great for a crowd - good picture and sound from all angles and distance. Easy set up - we opted to have the Geek Squad install it above a fireplace, and they did an excellent job with the wall mount and adjusting the settings for our many windowed room. Didn't need internet connection on this unit, but could easily add it with exterior add-on. The price was very good and since we have been pleased with all previous Sharp flat screen purchases - this is our 3rd at 55" and above - we had no reservations when buying this one. Each continues to provide great casual viewing entertainment -- would recommend this one highly as well.

We love the picture. It works fantastic in our room with a big picture window. The picture looks great in full sun and in darkness. The only issue I have is that the screen occasionally dims or gets bright on it's own. I know that this is something I can fix once I figure it out. I hate to just turn off the auto adjust. I looked at a lot of TV and reviews and am very happy with the value and the size. This is the smallest I would go with in a big room.

A 70" TV for under 2K. I bought this TV at a $100 discount. Two weeks later, Best Buy had is on sale and I got $300 back because of their price matching program! I upgraded from a 52" samsung to the 70" sharp. The samsung TV has a better picture quality even though it has a refresh rate of 60HZ vs the Sharp's 120HZ. However, I think the difference has more to do with the size of the TV rather than the technical difference. Other than that, I have no regrets buying this TV. Definitely recommended.

When I purchased the TV I did not realize how easy it would be
to set up. It hardly took any time. The picture on the television
is great. It is like being at the movies in my own home. I would
recommend, and have recommended this TV to friends and
family. Having researched before purchasing my TV, I feel
I definitely have made the perfect choice.

I am very satisfied with this tv. Great picture quality, easy to understand and use. I have a surround sound/dvd player, a satellite system and and Xbox 360 hooked up to it. Great picture on all devices. Sound comes from speakers located in the back, so its not excellent quality sound, but its clear and good. I would definitely buy another one.

This T.V. has great picture quality. Perfect size to host a Super Bowl party and impress family and friends. Have been very pleased with this T.V. since I bought it two months ago. Only complaint is the sound is very weak. Recommend buying a soundbar.

I purchased this TV a week before the Superbowl because I kept seeing the great price in my email circulars. I have done some research on what I want from a TV. I knew i wanted 120hz or higher, 1080p and 2mil to one aspect ratio. This TV has all of the above and more! I didn't care about the internet connection with a bunch of pay apps that I already have on my PS3. I watch movies on Netflix and Hulu and play some games so the same features on the TV itself didn't matter to me. The sound is not that great. I have a surround sound system so if I want dynamic sound, i just turn my amp and surround sound on and the room is filled with great sound. I put in a Bluray movie in and was amazed at the clarity and awesome picture. With the price of an 80" at $2000 more then this TV, I will not miss the 10" with this awesome 70" TV.

I love the picture this television provides. The price is also fantastic, however, I chose the most very basic model because I have no use for all the bells and whistles sharp offers on their high end (and priced) models. The sound on the other hand is horrible. Because I spent so little on the TV I had no problem buying an external speaker. The problem I do have is that when I got the speaker home the digital sound hookup didn't work. I contacted Sharp and they sent me an email that said, "We are unable to guarantee audio from the digital audio output of the tv." This will be the very last Sharp product I ever buy.

100% happy with this large LED. Perfect for home theater. Only thing that doesn't make sense is how to best setup the sound bar. There is an optical out but it appears you have to go into menu each and every time to output to sound bar. It also appears that the only optical output is for HDMI 1. Turn off TV and you'll have to go back into the menu and reset. I bypassed this and went with optical line direct from PS3 and the analog output from HD cable box. Wish the sound bar had two optical inputs. We watch more movies on the PS3 than watching cable TV, so not a major let down.

Bought this tv to replace my 60 in Sharp, lets face it size does matter. Never used to be a Sharp fan, always preferred Sony or Samsung but bought my first Sharp 52 in 3 years ago and loved it. Since then have the 60 in and now the 70 in. These TVs have great pictures and for the price you can't beat them. Of course the sound is week but that is expected with a tv this size you should have it hooked up to a receiver for better theater sound. Overall I love my tv.

Great TV with 3 HDMI inputs and one optical audio output. Unfortunately only one of the HDMI inputs feeds the optical audio output. Also, you have to go into the menu every time you turn on the TV or change inputs in order to get an external home theatre system to produce sound. BIG HASSLE and no answers or help available from Sharp or Geek Squad. Other brands might offer more ease of use.

Recently bought the 70" Sharp and could'nt be more satisfied! After days of researching and fretting about the possibility of having to calibrate for the perfect picture, I took the plunge. Turns out it was as simple as plugging it in, going thought the step by step setup process and I was in business! Perfect picture, crisp and clear! I purchased a home theater system at the same time, simply because the small speakers on a flat screen usually dont do it justice. For the price I don't see how you could go wrong!

This 70" Sharp LED TV delivers high-quality resolution and great sound quality. I have seen TVs costing far more than this one and the picture quality was not as good. We have satellite connected to this model, and every channel delivers the clearest, crispest picture I've seen on an LED model. We are thoroughly pleased with our selection.
