“why is this model # different from another stainless steel model; vent clearance needed? You show this to be Model R18001srt. Is this the same microwave/convection as model R1875T? If so, why the different numbers? Also, does the 'ductless' vent require any clearance in the back of the microwave?”

Thank you for your recent inquiry about our Sharp R1880LSRT Microwave Oven. There are 2 different model numbers due to the R-1875 unit being manufactured in the USA and the R-1880 being manufactured in Thailand. For ventilation of all our Sharp Microwave Ovens we recommend having at least 2” open around the entire unit to allow proper ventilation.
