“So, to be clear, am I to unable to "program" the sideclick with "codes" , like a universal remote? I do NOT have original TV remote for any IR "learning". Can someone confirm this?”

• You can not enter codes. It tries to learn from an original temote by putting the two remotes head to head and pushing the buttons.

• The sideclick is programed by learning from the tv remote...so u can probably do the same thing with the universal remote..example press the channel button on the universal remote while simultaneously by pressing the up/down arrow on the sideclick..
