I was able to transfer my phone to another carrier that uses the same system as AT&T.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can get Tracfone to "rebrand" the phone and then you need to buy the $1.00 SIM card at Best Buy for it. Then you need to call customer service AGAIN and explain that you need to activate the rebranded phone to Tracfone and then you will hold for over an hour and argue with people who don't speak english to try and make this happen. After 3 hours of frustration you will finally be told that it's only compatible with T-Mobile and its a "GMA" phone not a "CDMA" phone and won't work with Tracfone. IT"S NOT WORTH IT _ RETURN THE PHONE! I bought 3 (three) of them after being with Tracfone for over 2 years with LG phones and never had a problem until we tried to upgrade. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!! I highly recommend returning this phone and getting a Tracfone that is sold by TRACFONE.

When I powered up the phone the first time, a message popped up that said "By TRACFONE", but when I went to the TRACFONE website and entered the phone's serial number to activate the minutes from the TRACFONE card, I got a message back saying it was a StraightTalk phone and directed me to their website. When I called TRACFONE and talked to a rep, she transferred me to T-Mobile. The T-Mobile guy had no idea why and transferred me back to TRACFONE. The next TRACFONE rep transferred me to Simple Mobile. I waited on hold for 10 minutes and then got cut off, so I gave up and am sending the phone back to Best Buy.
