“Do the actual media components/boxes only fit in the open shelf space? And stacked on top of each other? The reason I wanted a stand like this is to hide the components behind the glass doors but that area doesn't look wide enough.”

The shelves are adjustable. This console cannot be configured any other way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i could fit my direct tv unit behind the glass. My dvd player is to wide. i believe the side units are around 13 1/2 " wide.
