• Yes it can be turned off remotely using the simplisafe app you can turn it off set it to home mode or away mode. If the Alarm is fully going off you will receive a text message asking if it was a false alarm and you just answer yes so it won’t contact the authorities.

• yes, you can montior the system from your phone. turn it on and off, etc. see the status. the app is very user friendly, will tell you when it was last armed or disarmed, and by who (if you set up with individual codes)
