SimpliSafe does have a fire alarm for its systems. For insurance purposes, SimpliSafe can also provide a certificate that states it does monitor for fire (with the paid service). Some insurance companies may give you a discount for having a security system, but be careful as some insurance companies also assume that all alarm systems are hardwired, which drives up reconstruction costs, and increased reconstruction costs may actually cause your rate to increase.
