- Answer You can set up different codes, but this lock is tied to the SimpliSafe alarm system. A different lock might work better for your situation.

- Answer I was able to find on line. I didn't think they came with my instructions either, until I flipped the paper over. Same pin numbers as your system

QuestionOther digital deadbolts have a design defect- the keypad is not lit until after the first key is pressed. One has to take a stab at getting the first entry right. Does this keypad design address this?

- Answer I don't know. The instructions are for a single cylinder (keyed on outside only) but I'm sure if you contact SimpliSafe customer service they can advise you.

- Answer This is a common complaint with this lock unfortunately. The solution I have found is that if you turn the knob in the same direction it's already going it will usually then release. There's something inside that gets off track when the lock is engaged electronically.

QuestionIf you just have a dummy doorknob with no lock under it, like in the picture, what stops an intruder from just unscrewing/ pushing out the lower knob and using a hook to open the door from the backside?

- Answer If your doorknobs are installed correctly, the screws to remove the doorknob are on the inside and not accessible from the outside. That said, if it is possible to do this on a given door, then this lock does nothing to circumvent that. This would be a problem with any deadbolt that is not dual-cylinder.

- Answer Yes you are able to use your existing key. This lock only replaces what is on the inside of the door. It is easy to install, it took me about 10 minutest to completely install.

- Answer The lock can be operated by the included keypad without a Simplisafe subscription. But without a subscription, you will not be able to use the phone app to lock and unlock the door.
