QuestionI have a 2015 Toyota Venza with XM built-in and active on the factory stereo.. if I buy a new head unit (XM ready of coarse) do I still need a new tuner or do I not need to worry about that? I've seen conflicting answers.

- Answer If you replace your Toyota Head Unit with any aftermarket head unit that is SXM ready you will need a new SiriusXM tuner such as the SXV300V1.

- Answer Since your radio has the sat button, you will need to call SiriusXM to activate it. You will not need this unless told different by SiriusXM

- Answer I suggest you have your vehicle's radio checked by someone who is experienced with the installation of automotive radio equipment. Many radios can be fitted with an aftermarket vehicle tuner that is compatible with that particular make and model radio. This way, you should get the real story. Do not accept the word of someone who makes an expensive list of things you need without checking your vehicle's radio. If you need an aftermarket radio, they are available but they are expensive.

- Answer Sorry but the Dual DV725BH is not SiriusXM-Ready so it is not compatible with the SXV300. it was also not the older legacy Sirius or XM ready so even a very old satellite tuner would be incompatible with this receiver.

- Answer If you are pretty handy and have tools you can. But it would be a several hours long project. I would recommend having it done buy a pro. I did. Best Buy put mine in. No hassles No problems

- Answer Not trying to be rude, but how do you expect to get Satellite Radio programming in a non satellite radio? You need a factory radio that has satellite (need an adapter as well) or an aftermarket radio that is satellite ready

- Answer it might be possible, but it will not plug in directly to the factory Honda radio. Vais Technologies makes an adapter that works with the SXV300 tuner that might work for you. Please consult with your professional installer or check the connectivity options at www.vaistech.com

- Answer It might be possible, but you would need a special adapter to connect to your Mustang radio . check with Vais Technologies (www.vaistech.com) to see if they have an adapter for your particular Mustang stereo

- Answer Not directly. To use the SXV300 tuner you would need to replace your factory radio with an aftermarket "SiriusXM-Ready' model - Best Buy carry a number of brands and models that are compatible. The other option would be a Dock and Play model like an Onyx EZR, Onyx Plus or SiriusXM Tour, all of which are somewhat universal and can connect to a factory radio using AUX input or over FM.

- Answer When I purchased my receiver (JVC KW-780BT), it came with three free months of SiriusXM radio. After the three months, it will start charging the subscription price. If you had the free trial and didn't end up subscribing you will lose access to the satellite portion of the receiver. However, it should still be listed as one of the apps and the "free" preview channel should play. To subscribe you can just go to the SIriusXM website and sign up for an account. You will need your radio ID too. To get that, go down one channel from the "free" preview channel and it will give you the Radio ID.

- Answer Depending on your Lexus radio, It might be possible, but you will need a special accessory from Vais Technologies (www.vaistech.com) called a "SL3" please consult them for more details about your particular vehicle.
