the manufacturer recommends 6 inches, we have 10 inches. The 90 degree elbow allows for closer to wall distance.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't help with this question. I ordered and paid for a periscope vent when buying my dryer at Best But a month age. They delivered a rigid dryer vent in lieu of a periscope. I was not home when the dryer was delivered and installed. After calling the store, they were of no help in resolving my issue. My advise is to make sure they deliver what you order.
