Yes you can get closer to the wall with the periscope about 2’ then you can with the regular dryer vent hose. You may need to be a little creative to attach everything together. I had to buy 2 connector to get the job done because the connectors on the periscope just aren’t long enough. Get 2 extra clamps to make sure it holds ogether on both ends.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.About 3-4" maybe. Not much less than a regular metal duct really. It is really the ability to gain a cleaner hook up and one that would be easily repeatable when cleaning moving the dryer etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This was a goal for my use. IF you were dealing with only a simple dryer you could get close to this. My set is stacked and have the “steam” feature, the plumbing requirements of both ended with a 5” protrusion.
