I would imagine that you could. We ended up using the new kit since our old one was almost 20 years old.

Assuming your old machine was good for several years, the constant movement of the lines as the machine runs can eventually cause failure. I don't recommend running the risk of flooding you home or starting an electrical fire just to save a couple of bucks. Listen to your sales associate and get the proper hoses and cords for your new machine.
