I would imagine that you could. We ended up using the new kit since our old one was almost 20 years old.

Probably, but I would not recommend it. Assuming your old machine was good for several years, the constant movement of the lines as the machine runs can eventually cause failure. I don't recommend running the risk of flooding you home or starting an electrical fire just to save a couple of bucks. Listen to your sales associate and get the proper hoses and cords for your new machine.
