Yes, you can. The venting kit is completely different than gas line kit.

This vent is for the heat generated by the drying process and should work equally fine for either an electrical or gas dryer. As far as for venting for the burning of gas, I believe that would be separate and would have to process the fumes. Don't know anything about that kind of venting but imagine it must not leak.
