- Answer Hello, Yes you will need a hardwire kit to have parking mode and record while your vehicle is off. Our intelligent hardwire kits have motion and collision detection, while the smart only has collision detection while parked.

- Answer Hi! Thank you for your message! You will need the Intelligent hardwire kit if you want motion detection. The Smart is only triggered by vibrations. All you need is in the box.
