Saves time and money. If you have the Sodastream base and the special Sodastream bottles then you can use the refilled cartridges. You bring your old one that is empty and exchange it at the Customer Service desk for a pre-filled exchanged co2 cartridge. Saves the time of shopping for soda water at the store and handling all the plastic bottles from store to home and then dealing with the plastic empty bottles. Make soda water any time you would like as long as you have co2 i keep an extra at home so I can exchange one and always have a spare. It creates less work and mess and helps the environment. We love our Sodastreem unit and the replaceable co2 cartridges.

The unit comes with a canister of CO2 out of the box. When it is gone, you take the empty back to the store for recycling and buy a pre-filled replacement.

This product needs to be used in conjunction with a SodaStream machine.
