First make sure there is one battery installed in the camera. Then you can check the status of the battery. If the panel is installed correctly and gets several hours of direct sunlight a day the battery level should always be on full charge. If there are cloudy days no worries as the battery can work up to a month on its own. So if you notice there is less than full charge give it a few days and check again. You should see it fully charged. Mine has worked perfectly for over a year. I have never had to climb the ladder to change a battery. That is the main reason I got the panel. My other cameras are easily reached to change out batteries. I do like not even worrying about that one camera so I will be purchasing a few more panels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Good question and I was wondering the same. The only thing to do is watch your battery levels. I’m having good success with it even on fairly cloudy days. Just point it to maximize the sun exposure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just look at the device health of your camera and it will show you the battery charge level. Should go up everyday.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your ring batteries consistently show as fully charged everyday, you know the panel is working. All I do is check the charge level of my batteries to know how well the panel is working and it works quite well
