• A:Answer Absolutely! You can group Sonos Ones in other rooms to hear television audio or they can be set up as rear channel speakers for Arc in a home theater configuration!

Q: QuestionI HAVE A PAIR OF SPEAKERS IN THE CEILING IN MY LIVING ROOM RUN BY A SONOS CONNECT. AM I ABLE TO CONNECT THE SOUNDBAR AND SPEAKERS TO THE SAME CONNECT FOR SURROUND? THANKS FOR THE HELP.

• A:Answer Hi, and thank you for this question. Unfortunately you cannot use the Connect as surround with a receiver, as the receiver is controlling the crossover to the surrounds. To use surrounds, we must be controlling what goes to the surround speakers and when. However, you can use the Sonos AMP to do this, and plug that directly into our in ceilings. Bypassing the receiver and allowing us to control the crossover.

Q: QuestionI really don't understand why the Sonos arc will not work with Android phones. As much as this system cost you would think this is not a problem. Don't know if Sonos will have real speakers that will be up-firing. Also no REMOTE..geeze.

• A:Answer Sonos does work with Android. There are two top firing speakers, and the reason we don't include a remote is because it learns the one you are already using with your tv. :)

Q: QuestionSomeone answered my question regarding Apple TV 4K connection which I appreciated however, they mentioned something about by getting a Sonos subwoofer I would get a true 5.1 surround sound. Can I use my own subwoofer and get the same thing as Sonos sub. ?

Q: QuestionHi I am planning to buy this product and hooked it with my TCL 75R635 Qled Roku. Its has and supports EARC HDMI. i would also buy a new 48Gbps HDMI Cable that supports EARC. Would i have any problem of compatibility, sounds problem? Thank you

• A:Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. You shouldn't run into any problems with set up. Just make sure after everything is set up, the propper audio codecs are being pushed to your Sonos Arc in the Tv's audio/speaker settings.

• A:Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. The answer to working with the Apple TV remote is "technically no, but yes" If the Arc is plugged into your Tv via the ARC HDMI port on your tv that activates what's called CEC. Using your apple tv remote (or your phone's side volume buttons) will control Arc's volume because the Apple Tv is commanding the Arc through your Tv's ARC port via CEC. We know... confusing. The simple answer is; Yes, as long as the Sonos Arc is plugged in via ARC. If you plug in into the tv using optical with the included adapter... no.

Q: QuestionHow can I use the TV speakers instead of the Arc? When switching to TV speakers, it auto connects back to the Arc. So far the only thing that works is disconnecting the Arc from the power plug or the hdmi cable. I have a samsung Q80 Any other option?

• A:Answer I've encountered the same behavior, and have not been able to figure this one out myself. We have the Samsung Frame TV and the audio will play through the TV for about 3 seconds before automatically switching back to the ARC. Rather frustrating.

• A:Answer PS; since the Arc is Dolby Atmos soundbar, it is optimal at ear level. You can mount it anywhere of course, but it might not sound as accurate or even appropriate if iis mounted above/higher than the tv depending on its relation to your ear level.

• A:Answer It comes with an HDMI cable; not sure if it's 4k but I'm not sure if it matters. I have my 4k Bluray player and 4k Firestick plugged into HDMI ports in the back of the TV and the Sonos Arc HDMI cable plugged into the ARC/eArc port. It's only returning sound not video. Maybe someone more tech savy can elaborate. Long story short, it works great.

• A:Answer If you lose WiFi you will not be able to control the speaker with your mobile device. The ARC is still connected to your TV via a cable. So you are still able to use it as you would normally.

Q: QuestionI am thinking about purchasing a Sony55" class A9G Master Series OLED TV. Does anyone know if the Sonos Arc soundbar is compatible with this TV? I want to get the best sound bar I can for this unit. Thank you.

• A:Answer Be sure the TV has at a minimum an ARC (HDMI) output. Keep in mind that ARC is different than the standard HDMI. It is the same connection, but the SONOS ARC needs a HDMI ARC output or better yet, the eARC output that is only on newer televisions. eARC provides the best sound to fully utilize the SONOS ARC ATMOS sound. You can use the optical output of the TV with the included optical to HDMI adapter also. My TV is a 2013 SAMSUNG and has the ARC output, not the eARC. I am totally happy with the sound and figure if I don't know what ATMOS sounds like I can't be disappointed. I did buy the sub-woofer and 2 SONSO 1's to go with my setup and am extremely happy with the system.

• A:Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. If you put another Sonos speaker outside and only want to hear the tv audio out of that speaker, you can group the outdoor speaker with Arc, and then mute Arc. Then, the audio will only play out of the outdoor speaker!
