• The Subs only work in conjunction with a compatible Sonos Soundbar, because of the way it communicates and sends data through Wifi.

• Thanks for the question. Sonos Sub would not directly connect to either the receiver or directly to the TV. Sonos Sub only connects to a Sonos speaker. In your case, you would need to replace your receiver and speakers with a Sonos sound bar. If you only wanted to use the Sub for music playback rather than music and TV, you could but a single Sonos music speaker (One, OneSL, Five) and the Sub could connect to one of those.
