Absolutely. Set up is easy and sounds amazing. Add 2 Play 1 speakers for surround and you'll really love it. Expensive but totally worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the sonos playbar combined with the sonos sub and this is awesome. So yes this will give you 3.1 front left and right sound for the ultimate system add two additional play 1's or two play 3's.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is exactly what I did. Playbar, sub, 2 Play 5s (rear surround for tv) and a Play 1 in the bathroom.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can either use it for television or music. Both can't play at the same time but I run music through it most of the day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as you buy the Sonos Playbar to add to the Sonos Sub, I feel you won't need anything else. That's all I have and it sounds great. I've had other systems with an amp and multiple speakers and the Sonos out proforms all of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When connected to the TV the Playbar and sub will default to play what is coming from the TV's audio (this is configurable in the app). If the TV is off and you are playing music from the Sonos app it will output whatever you are playing then.
