I'd go with the BOSE if the noise cancelling superiority is your primary objective.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Like all noise cancelling headphones they aren't great at cancelling out 100% of voices or other intermittent noises. They should help though. Be aware they are quite large and you can't sleep in your side with them very comfortably.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried both the Sony and Bose Quiet Comfort 35 at the store and bought the Sony because I found the Sony to be very comfortable. These should block out snoring and will be comfortable as long as you sleep on your back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the Sony's actually do a little better job of blocking out the noise than the Bose do. I own a pair of the older QC15 headphones and bought the QC35's to replace them. After reading so many positive reviews about the Sony's I bought those and after two weeks took the Bose back. The main reason for me was the audio quality was better. I bought the $150 Sony Walkman to take advantage of the Sony LDAC technology and it is very good. I have purchased quite a few albums in 192/24, 96/24 and DSD and playing them on the Walkman listening wirelessly through the MDR1000X my ears are very happy! For Noise cancelling the Sony, to my ears, has a slight advantage - so that combined with audio quality won me over.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are very helpful in my case. I use them mostly in office, to block noise. It works pretty good. I can barely hear any noises, I'm quietly enjoying my music. Definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to use it for noise cancellation.
