Q: I still didn't get my question answered though, does this have a charger cable or ability?
A: This item comes with usb cable for charging.
A: My 3 year old still sleeps in the bed with my wife and me. I use these while watching movies in bed while she is sleeping and they do not disturb her one bit.
Q: when the battery die can I plug the 3.5mm wire and still work?
A: YES...they work without power using the included wire.
Q: Can the noise cancellation be used without listening to music? So all one would hear is silence?
A: Yes, as long as the headphones are connected to a device via Bluetooth.
A: Bluetooth NC on: Sounds great Wired & NC: Works, and sounds great Wired & Powered off: Sounds not so great but definitely manageable until you can charge them.
A: As long as it is Blue tooth it really does not mater.

A: They are heavy, I wouldn't wear them for any activity that would make you sweat in the head phone. Look for an in ear headset like Sennheiser, they are amazing!!
