QuestionCan the receiver be controlled through an app on a iPhone? If so, can the main power be turned on and off and can you control A and B speakers through an app?. I want to be able to go between my family room speakers (A) and outside speakers (B).

- Answer I looked in the Apple App Store and didn’t find anything compatible. Probably a good thing; none of the apps were rated very high because they all had issues of compatibility with certain phones. I’d suggest a universal remote .

QuestionWill the eArc on this receiver allow me to connect to an external soundbar (probably the Sonos Arc) to get surround sound? I have a projector and am looking to keep the majority of my current Sonos system, was hoping this would work.

- Answer Hi Mark, Unfortunately, this unit cannot directly stream SiriusXM. Music services such as Spotify and Chromecast built-in are supported. And yes, you will have to connect a smartphone, tablet, etc. to this receiver to stream SiriusXM. -Sam

- Answer Hi DonWan13, You can connect any speaker as long as it has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms. And to get most out the features of this receiver, I'd recommend getting our latest TV models which are the 800H, 950H, and A8H models. And for the Bluray player, I'd suggest looking at the UBP-X800M2, UBP-X800, and UBP-X700 models. -Sam

QuestionCan I hook up an equalizer to this receiver and to which rca connectors ?

- Answer Hi Roberto, An equalizer needs to be connected to the tape monitor loop on an AV receiver in order to operate. The current line of Sony receivers does not have a tape monitor loop. For this reason, it is not possible to connect an add-on equalizer to current Sony AV receivers. NOTES: Most Sony receivers feature a built-in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Equalizer. The addition of an equalizer is not needed and would provide no additional benefit to the overall sound output of the receiver. -Sam
