QuestionMy surround speakers have become disconnected. The system shows them connected but they are not. Normal connection procedure does not work. Pushing the speaker button shifts from Network to Bluetooth.

QuestionI have an HT CT-800 soundbar connected to SONY XBR-X900E TV, 4K HDMI leads and ARC in/out. TV won't display HOME menu so I can't customize settings? No sound when in HOME menu? How do I get out of HOME menu without flipping through all the inputs?

- Answer Hi Mark6, You can this, while pressing and holding INPUT, press VOL +, VOL –, VOL + on the main unit in order to set the video output resolution setting to the lowest level. Regards, Zac Sony Social Support

Questionold sony dav_hdx500 unit with 5 disc cd changer. died. unit has wireless infra-red to speakers on opposite wall, wired front speakers. what control systems would be compatible with existing sound bar, sub-woofer and speakers. model no longer in stock.

- Answer From what I remember, three options: SRS-HG1, SRS-ZR5, and SRS-ZR7. I opted for the HG1s, simply because they were cheaper than the other two options (I bought used ones), and they could also double as portable speakers. In all honesty, haven't used them as portable speakers once. If you're going for premium sound, there is no doubt the ZR5 & 7s will sound better.

QuestionIs there a way to disable the soundbars home menu? It keeps popping up when i switch menus through my smart tv. I have the soundbar connect through hdmi arc. The soundbar should automatically default to your main hdmi input/cable box.

QuestionI bought a soundbar and im having trouble programming the subwoofer the sound bar works fine but you cant hear anything on the subwoofer

- Answer If you have the Soundbar connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) connection go to that HDMI port on your TV there you should see the soundbars Home Menu and Setup option at the top of the screen click on settings go to Audio settings first and check the levels 1-12 of the Subwoofer set it closer to 12 for more punch also set the distance of the speakers from your sitting position. The next thing to check is that the Subwoofer is paired with the soundbar they usually are out of the box however if it has not been paired yet this would be your problem again go to the settings menu of the soundbar this time go to system settings and go to Wireless subwoofer connection on the back of the subwoofer press the pairing button located on the back middle of the unit next to the power button upon doing that click on the pair subwoofer option in the system settings menu under wireless subwoofer connection and you should be good to go and if not you got a faulty unit but I believe this should work if done correctly.

QuestionI had a CT780 Thought the CT800 would be an upgrade. The sub woofer is by far weaker than the CT780. Installation ARC HDMI to my Sony Bravia XBR55900E. Woofer volume constantly cranked at 12. Set up at 6.0 db’s. Disappointing. Not recommended.
