“Can I lay down this subwoofer sideways instead of standing and does it affect the sound at all?”

• Mine is laying flat and there is no problem with the sound. In this state, the speakers are angled up and away from the TV and are not pointing straight up. However, the display is a bit less readable. Nevertheless I am quite happy with the system and do not feel compelled to use the included wall mounts.
