• Yes the subwoofer powers down into standby mode and its LED turns red. You can also manually shut it off with the power button on the back

• The subwoofer turns on and off with the soundbar, i.e., it does not turn off by itself should the bass level be too low (as some subwoofer tend to do), which is great.

• YES, IF YOU DON'T USE IT IT SHUT OFF THE SOUND BAR AND THE SUBWOOFER AT THE SAME TIME.
