• If your Tivo remote can be programmed, it should be able to control it. I was able to get my Charter remote to control my sound bar for muting and volume.

• It does with my remote for my ATT Uverse remote...Sony products tend to work seamlessly with each other. I don't imagine it would be any different if your Tivo remote already can control the sound on your Sony TV.
