• You DO NOT need to power on TV separately. If power cable is plugged into cable box, when you turn on cable box TV will turn on as well. This is my favorite feature of Sony TVs. So many other brands do not do this.

• My cable tv remote has a button to turn off entire system with one button, but I can also choose to turn them off separately if I want.

• I use the cable remote but click on the tv button and then the cable button to turn both on.
