Hi mllyou, You can browse web sites or surf the Internet. However, the built-in browser is not designed to replace the web browsing functionality of a computer. For streaming, this Sony Bravia has an apps pre-loaded on the TV such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon, and etc. Dave
