Please try again later.If TV sound quality is really important to you, you need to buy an external sound system or component such as a sound bar to supplement ANY flat screen TV. I have this Sony TV connected to a Sony blue ray disk home theater system that automatically switches on and off with the TV. That being said, this TV has better built in sound than my previous TV. Page 14 of the Sony manual for this TV recommends that you provide adequate clearance around the TV for ventilation and cooling purposes. Specifically the installation requires 2-3/8 inches behind the TV, 4 inches underneath and on the sides of the TV, and 11-7/8 above the TV, and not recessed within an enclosure. They really want you to install it on a wall or on a stand.
