“I'm a novice at this....I have this tv.....what is the blaster cord & how do I know when its working correctly? will the hdmi cord work much better than the ac plug ins? how do I know the microphone is working & what kind of things do I say to it?”

blaster is for your set-top-box, HDMI is the best way to go... you can ask the TV anything-But i doubt it will actually work.
