“I presently stream (no cable) using a Fire Stick which is inserted into the my Onkyo Home Theater Receiver. The receiver is simply connected to my present tv using HDMI out from receiver to tv. Will I be able to maintain this simple setup? Thanks.”

You wont need firestick ..i dont use fire tvon mine..but should be fine

If you decide to use the Google TV that comes built in to the TV please make sure that the Home Receiver is connected to the TV’s HDMI input terminal bearing the text “ARC” or “eARC/ARC”.
