I am not experiencing that issue with my tv., may have it checked or check it in the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven’t noticed that with my TV at all. I have the X85J model which is a great view at any angle. The most angle that I view my TV is at 50% which looks great! No issues. I watch my TV from my bed so that angle is direct on at 0%.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the picture (color) looks faded when viewed from an angle. This is true for most mid-range LCD TVs (Google for the tech explanation ;-p) There are no settings to fix this -- it's how LCD TVs are built. I just shift the TV slightly when I'm watching from a different angle in the room.

The best viewing distance depends on the size and the display resolution of the TV. The recommended distance for comfortable viewing depends on the video or program you are watching, the viewing environment, and the physical conditions of the person watching it. When watching the TV from a suitable distance, we recommend looking away from the TV now and then or try watching it at a different viewing angle. You may refer to the link below for our recommended viewing distance when watching TV: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/kd-43x85j/articles/00008601 Some of these issues can also be fixed by configuring various settings related to the TV display such as Brightness, Color, Hue, etc. for picture quality to improve your overall viewing experience. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it's the technical nature of this TV that you have to be right in front of it to get the best viewing experience. As you step to one side or the other, the picture will look increasingly faded.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Mark I own 3 Sony TVs including this the smallest KD43X85J. The others being 55 and 65 inches respectively all purchased at Best Buy.. I expected the 43 inch tv to give the best picture but not so, I noticed the same problem you have, any more than 20 degrees off center it starts washing out. Try setting your HDMI to #3 or #4 and dial in VIVID on your color this may help somewhat. You and I are not the first to have this problem. PERHAPS BEST BUY HAS AN ANSWER !!!! I should mention that my other TVs are hooked via WIFI box then that to the TV via HDMI, the problem TV is CABLE routed to the box then out the box to the TV via HDMI.. I don't see why that should cause the problem. Good Luck!
