“I'm disappointed that the picture on many of my standard TV stations on this HDR/UHD TV are no sharper than they were on my much older Sony TV. Is this a reality I have to live with or is my new TV defective?”

Reply to SonyListens: I tried to improve the picture via the adjustments you recommended, but many of the standard, non-high definition channels that I watch are still not sharp enough to match my expectations for this cutting-edge Sony model. I finally got around this issue by setting the high-definition channel versions of those standard channels in my "Favorites" on my cable box (i.e., high-def Ch. 531 for Ch. 31)---they all look great in high def!

In this case, you can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size. The actual display may vary or some settings may not be available depending on your model/country/region and the content you are watching.
