You don't need any phone to control the TV. it came with a voice control remote.

Please try again later.This is a smart tv, but can use it's conventional remote, or bluetooth, etc. "Android" in this case just means this tv has Android built-in, (selected via the TV's app menu), and uses the remote like a phone's touch panel. Note: Because I have multiple Sony TVs in the same room, I use a Logitech Harmony remote to control them since the Harminy can control ithem individually. (Sony TVs have the same remote codes so multiple Sony TVs in the same room will respond to the single remote.)
