“How do I make usb thumb drive work on Sony CDP-C500 I bought a Sony CDP-C500 player from Best Buy amount a month ago. I've copied some MP3 songs onto the thumb drive and then attempted to play them off the CD player. I only get a response of not supported. The thumb drive is a typical SanDisk 1Gb. What might be wrong?”

• You can listen to music stored on a USB device. The audio formats that can be played back on CDPCE500 CD player are MP3/WMA/AAC. This player supports only USB flash memory devices that meet the following requirements: – The device is a Sony Mass Storage Class Device complying with Universal Serial Bus Specification Revision 1.1 or later. – The file system is FAT16/32. Note: Files with DRM (Digital Rights Management) copyright protection cannot be played back on this player

• When I was going to college, we were told not to use that specific type of flash drive. There were to many issues with that brand.
