- Answer The photos will look decent, but buying a dedicated portrait lens would be more ideal. This one is more versatile than a portrait lens, but they will not be as clear

- Answer Your camera is a full frame camera, this lens is designed for crop sensor (APSC) cameas, such as the a6x00 line up. It probably will work with a 1.5 crop factor and reduced resolution, but you would be better off with a lens that is made for full frame cameras.
