Check your fios box settings. I bet it is set to auto resolution output which may select wrong resolution. Are you a hundred percent sure that that show is in full HD?

If it does not have an HD digital tuner, you will need to rent a digital set-top box that is capable of receiving an HD signal from your cable or satellite service provider. Also, to fully appreciate the enhanced picture quality HD offers, the television should have a native resolution of at least 720p or 1080i. The TV works as a monitor, and will display the resolution of all equiments connected trhough HDMI connection. - Oscar.
