• Yes. Unlike a lot of the Vizio's, this does have a built-in tuner. I was surprised at how good it works for us. We cut the cord to cable several years ago and our previous T.V. Was also a Sony and it was just O.K. at getting channels. This model is better.

• No, it has a coax connection you can add a antenna, you will not receive any over the air channels without one.
