My opinion, no. You can do it yourself. Unless you have other systems to hook to it like a surround sound system, game system, etc., it might get a little tricky. If it's just a cable box, hook up the cable from the box to the back of the tv (like you would with any other tv) and follow the onscreen instructions. Keep the "quick set up" guide close and take your time with it. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Much easier than the last TV you setup. No it does not require professional setup. I am 70. All it requires is time and patience. The TV steps you through about everything. I will say that sometimes I was a bit confused about what was going on during the setup, but the TV was a gentle guide. I had a wild nest of cords and cables with my old TV. With this TV There is a cable to the internet, power cable and an antenna, for local free an over the air channels.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi dorglet, This TV requires two or more people to set it up. We highly recommend contacting a professional installer if you need further help or if you want to wall-mount the TV.
