Hi Brian, The XBR55A8H has a two-position stand (standard and soundbar position) that raises the TV 2.8 inches when in the soundbar position. The height of the TV in standard position is approximately 28 7/8 inch (733 mm). In the soundbar position, the TV is approximately 30 7/8 inch (784 mm) tall. The width of the TV is approximately 48 3/8 inch (1227 mm). The XBR55A8H will fit in the space you are working on.
