“Can this tv be fitted with a pedestal? My stand is too narrow (42 inches) to use the legs that come with this model.”

Hi jpastern, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, the width of the table-top stand of our BRAVIA XR55A90J can only be adjusted from 45.28 inch (1,150 mm) to 50.47 inch (1,282 mm). We cannot guarantee the full operation and functionality of our products to any third-party accessories that are not manufactured by Sony. If your current stand is too narrow, you may hang this TV like a work of art instead using our SU-WL855 wall-mount bracket or any VESA-complaint wall-mount bracket with a hole pitch of (W X H) 11.81 x 11.81 inch (300 x 300 mm). For safety reasons, product protection, and to make sure that the installation is performed correctly, Sony strongly recommends that the installation of our TV be performed by a qualified professional.
