I originally purchased the Samsung 8000 series and returned it for the Sony 800E. Completely happy with my decision. This Sony is no joke! I can't believe the quality every time I turn it on.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As someone who has owned a high end Samsung tv I would have to say the Samsung overall has a brighter and better overall picture. The reason I went with the Sony is simple. Samsung is not a dependable product. My Samsung failed after a year and 4 months and I was told this is normal wear and tear. Do yourself a favor read all the reviews you can and get the extended warranty.
