There is a difference...not sure if I would consider it "noticeable". With respect to the difference in hz's? I wish I was a bit more informed. But that is entirely on me!

I have always been a fan of SONY (going back to the "walkmen" and "ghetto blaster" days), so I chose the TV because of my history with SONY products. I know this doesn't answer your question, but right now that's all I got. I will say this...I like the TV regardless of the hz's!! :)
