Make sure the update folder is in the root directory of the USB storage device.

A:AnswerHad the same issue with a 03 Chevy Tahoe. Only way to get around it is to buy a harness kit that bypasses the onstar. I forget the exact cost for it but in my situation I just hit the onstar button and got used to it because of the cost of the harness
