Will a standard wall mount work or do you need to buy the Sony one? null

A standard 300mm x 200mm VESA mount will work with this TV.

We used a wall mount from Best Buy but it wasn't Sony. Whatever wall mount you choose make sure you find at least 2 studs and check the size and weight capacity. It is a large tv that I wouldn't trust drywall brackets to secure and hold.

I used a Sanus mount with full motion and used the sony spacers with it. Holds 190lbs of me like a champ!

Standard wall mount worked fine

I have my TV on a stand that uses a wall mount. It has a standard VESA connection, but you have to use these unique but included screws to set it up for VESA (mainly because the back of the TV is not flat).

I am not sure if that would work on a wall. I probably wouldn't risk it - I think it's an issue for ventilating (but on my stand there's plenty of venting to go around). Sorry I can't be of more help.
